Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial time she tried out, she was ranked second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she attended the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. Felix became the world's youngest athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently within the top three in her various events at the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
