Mary McDonnell
Mary Eileen McDonnell was born April 28, 1952. She is an American stage screen, film, and television actress. McDonnell was nominated in the Academy Award for her roles in Dances with Wolves as Stands With A Finger and Passion Fish as May-Alice Culhane. McDonnell is famous for her performance as President Laura Roslin in Battlestar Galactica and First Lady Marilyn Whitmore in Independence Day as well as Rose in Donnie Darko. McDonnell played Captain Sharon Raydor on seasons 5-7 of TNT's television series The Closer. She also played in Major Crimes, the spin-off show on the same network as the Commander Sharon Raydor.
